Hawaii GOP, Inouye Weigh In On Obama-Romney II
Because you might have been — nay, should have been — focused on the Civil Beat-KITV Senate debate between Linda Lingle and Mazie Hirono, you might have missed the second presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney.
No problem. Hawaii Republican Party Chairman David Chang and Democratic U.S. Sen. Dan Inouye have you covered.
Here’s part of Chang’s reaction:
In tonight’s 2nd Presidential debate, Governor Romney demonstrated once again why he is the clear choice to lead our nation. He continued to show that he has a strong command of the issues that Americans face. Governor Romney, in a repeat performance, was steady, concise and presidential. While President Obama showed much more energy than in the last debate, he continued to trot out the same tired excuses for his failed policies that have hurt America for the last four years.
And here’s Inouye’s, provided by a spokesman:
Tonight, President Obama demonstrated that he is a leader committed to improving the lives of all Americans while protecting our nation’s standing as a global leader and a proponent of peace and security. Once again, Mitt Romney showed America that he would implement policies and programs that benefit the wealthiest among us while further depressing the middle class. He remains consistently vague about his plans for the country and continues to change his issue positions and say whatever the moment dictates, regardless of the facts. That is not leadership, it is salesmanship and we do not need someone like that in the White House. I urge you to support a second term for President Obama.
