Akaka To Address Alaska Natives, Be Honored By Them

Sen. Daniel Akaka, retiring at year’s end after serving as the only Native Hawaiian ever in the U.S. Senate, will be honored by Alaska Natives at a convention in Anchorage next week.

Akaka, chair of the Senate’s Indian Affairs Committee, will also the address the Alaska Federation of Natives.
