Gabbard’s Busy Week In Washington

Just in case you missed it on Civil Beat this morning, I have a story up today about Tulsi Gabbard’s rising star in the Democratic Party.

I talked to Rep. James Clyburn, the third-ranking Democrat in the House, and Nancy Pelosi had nice things to say also after meeting with Gabbard this week.

What does it mean for Hawaii? Read the piece for more.

In addition to Pelosi and Clyburn, Gabbard met with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and is scheduled to sit down with DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz too.

And on her Facebook page early Thursday morning, Gabbard posted a picture (below) of her with Joe Trippi. He’s a national political consultant on Gabbard’s campaign payroll.

On his website this week, Trippi thanked Gabbard for acknowledging his work during an appearance on MSNBC and said she’s “one of the best candidates and communicators we have worked for.”
