Native Hawaiian Education Programs Get $10.6M From U.S. DOE

Seventeen new programs and initiatives supporting the education of Native Hawaiians will receive $10.6 million, Hawaii’s congressional delegation announced today.

Non-profits, including schools, universities, and churches, competed for the money. The grants are administered by the U.S. Department of Education through the Native Hawaiian Education Act.
