Obama Supports Same-Sex Marriage, What About Hawaii Delegates?
After President Barack Obama definitively said on Wednesday that he supports same-sex marriage, it’s tempting to quote Joe Biden. (It’s also important to point out, as cynics smartly note, that political opportunism is a factor here.)
One big question: Now that Obama has finally articulated his support of same-sex marriage, will similarly “evolving” Democrats follow suit?
Do Hawaii’s Congressional delegates believe same-sex marriage should be legal? We asked for a definitive stance from Sen. Daniel Akaka, Sen. Daniel Inouye, Rep. Colleen Hanabusa and Rep. Mazie Hirono. All four are generally supportive of Obama’s positions on major issues.
