Djou Knows His ‘Real Enemy’

Former Congressman Charles Djou penned an essay for Politico about his recent deployment to Afghanistan. The First Congressional District candidate says the experience of facing “a real enemy” made him hopeful that Washington politicians can find a way to work together. 

Let’s agree that no matter how bitter the partisan gridlock in Washington, we are not enemies,” Djou said. “I’ve looked into the eyes of radical Taliban insurgents. I know what it means to have a real enemy.”
